The red Cobra replaced a green 1999 Cobra. Why? Because I originally wanted red and couldn\'t find one. Bought green (at Hiller), then traded for red (at Neenah-Menasha) when I realized that I still wanted red.

BTW, I had a 93 red Cobra before that. I won\'t bore you with all the other previous Mustangs that I owned (yet):b

Purchased at Lyons-Ryan in Antioch, *gasp* Illinois just about a year ago. They were the nearest dealership kind enough to sell me a Cobra on X-plan.

After the Ice Breaker at Griffin, I\'m fighting off the urge to trade my \'01 in on an \'03, but I\'m waiting to see if there are any issues on the first batch before I go too crazy.

Here\'s mine- 1994 Cobra that I have owned since 1996. We\'ve been thru a lot together. I\'ve gone thru many combos and have tried just about everything save for a turbo. She currently has a new 347 stroker motor and tremec TR-3550 transmission. She runs in the 12-second zone on radial tires and is still cushy and comfortable.

Okay, since I can only figure out how to post one picture per post, here is post number 1 introducing my 2001 Lightning.

So far mods done are Bassani H-pipes, Borla cat-back, 2\" rear drop shackles, Truk-Trak traction bars, keypad door handle conversion, and custom Lighning floormats. Waiting in the garage for installation is a 4# pulley, Superchip, Factory_Tech shift kit, 4x4 deep trans pan, Denso Iridium plugs, and drive shaft loop. :D

And part 2 of my story is a 93 Cobra.

It has FMS ceramic coated shorty headers, Mac H-pipe, Borla cat-back, 3.55 gears, custom CAI w/K&N filter, strut tower brace, Hurst shifter, Crane Hi-6 ignition, Crane coil, Kenne Bell switch chip, Trac-Link bar, and BF Goodrich g-force kd tires.

Alright, I\'ll say it, I am jealous of all of you with Cobras and Lightning\'s! I am driving a 1999 GT convertible, completely stock, but loaded with all factory options. White/tan/tan. Got it at a GREAT price from Scott S. at Griffin! Wanted a Cobra in \'99, but got the GT for cost reasons (saved $6,000 and lots more on insurance). I am still holding out hope for an \'03 Cobra sometime in the next 6 months, but am working on convincing the better half that we should get one! :P

Here is my \'01 vert. I couldn\'t resist picking it up. I traded in my \'00 SVT Contour on it and lost you know what but it was well worth it. I couldn\'t pass up the 0% financing and the X-Plan. I was able to get Venus to give me X-Plan if anyone is interested I\'ll give you the name of the salesman to talk to for X-Plan.

Well I don\'t own a Cobra, but hopefully one day I will. Until then, I have the following Blue Ovals in my garage . . .

1984 20th Anniversary Mustang Convertible w/49,000 original miles

1986 Mustang LX Hatchback - plain jane Stang w/4 cyl. automatic , but it only has 29,000 original miles , nice driver

1994 Mustang GT Coupe - dark green w/tan leather interior, automatic , 34,000 original miles , fun car !

2001 Ford Expedition - Daily Driver year round - 5.4 w/automatic , 4 x 4 , Sport Appearance package

So those are my toys, unless you count all the little diecast Mustangs I have :O)

Hey,don\'t be hating,I really liked my Cobra.I like all fast cars.I didn\'t start out with the intention of buying an SS.It just worked out that way.If you knew what I paid for this car,you might have thought about it too. Anyhow,I promise no stupid \"Ford vs Chevy \" garbage,unless someone starts in on me first.

I\'m 41 years old,but still 18 at heart.There are few things in life that I like better than racing,modding,spectating at the races,or just bench racing in general.I\'ve been playing the hot rod game since I was sixteen,and have a pretty good idea of what sort of combinations of parts it takes to go fast,so if anybody has any questions,I\'ll be more than happy to try and answer them.

I drive a white/black (1 of 171 made) 99 Cobra Vert. Only have added a Triax at this point. Plan on going to sub-frames and a 4.10 when I get my act together
