Fall Cruise to the Dells with the Twin Cities SVTOA Chapter - September 24 & 25

This is a joint event with our SVTOA brothers and sisters from the Twin Cities. We will meet at Griffin Ford at 8 AM on Saturday and organize groups to cruise the back roads to the Dells.

We should arrive at the Dells around noon to meet the TC group and have some lunch. Although the Dells has many different things to do, we are lining up some group activities although you are free to do your own thing if you like. Details on the Saturday afternoon group activities are being finalized (thanks Dan - topless96).

In the evening both groups will meet for dinner at a nearby restaurant. Overnight accomodations have been lined up by Chris of the TC chapter at the Sunset Bay Resort ( http://www.sunsetbayresort.com/ ) where a discount has been arranged. A block of 22 rooms has been set aside for the group. When booking your room, use group #2722 and they will know who you are.

On Sunday, nothing in particular is planned so you can either join a cruise group back to Milwaukee or stay and enjoy the day at the Dells.

This should be a great time so I hope you can make it!

I hope that if anyone can make this that they do. Should be alot of fun. I have us a nice place for dinner set up over-looking the river, RIVER WALK PUB. Everyone should like it, and they have a section of the parking lot set aside for us that we can use during the day. Very convient to the downtown, boat rides, mini-golf and even night life if so desired. Chris is nailing down the group events for us and will give further details. I plan on being there early setting up the lot so if you are coming in early should not be a problem. My cell # is 715-676-7986 if need help finding the place. Everyone enjoy the RIDE!!!!!

Just booked a room for saturday. They only had the larger 1 bedroom suites available for $84... if anyone was like me and wondering what the rate is going to be.\

I won't be up there until saturday evening though.

Is there anyone here that's going but not in the morning with the group? I'll be heading out of milwaukee area around 3-4pm so if there's a group maybe we could caravan up there or something. Not sure if I'll be bringing the L or not yet, kinda depends on the weather.

Just a quick note from the manager of RIVER WALK PUB. She is putting a banner together for us and is going to have us park right up front along the parking lot so that we can show off our rides. They are being very helpful. There is some street work being done now so they have a detour set up for a couple of blocks but still easy to get to. I will try and send a fax of the detour route to Mike so that most people will be aware. If anyone else has a fax number that you would like me to send it to give me a call. 608-253-6201.

Mike has a route planned for the cruise to the Dells which I am sure you will like. I want to send a special thanks to Dan N. (topless96) for lining up the restaurant and doing the checking around town for activities. You were a big help.

Had planned on meeting up at the Dells for the day but I have one of the worst head colds I have had in years plus a touch of the flu too.

I just wanted to extend a big thanks from our club.... I twas great meetying all of you and it was nice to see these two chapters meeting up. Ihope everyone had as much fun as we did. A big thanks to the river walk pub also for the great hospitality and food...
