View Full Version : Chrome Wheels Letter

If you read the main web page for SVTOA you will see that I posted that I got my letter from SVT Ford to call the dealer & order the Chrome Wheels ASAP. I tryed that today with Griffin & was told that they didn't know what I'm was talking about & neither did Ford when they called. I had to fax a copy of the letter to the Dealer & now am waiting to see what happens. Really no big hurry as looks like the Cobra will be in storage soon because of snow so maybe by spring time the Chrome Rims will be here or at least Ford will get it together with their Dealers??

Did you talk with Pete, Mike's son and the Griffin's SVT rep? I'm sure that's where Mike must have gotten the letter he posted in the Tech section.

If anyone knows, it would be Pete.

The letter we received is simmular to the letter posted except it told us to call & have the dealer order the wheels now. It had our name & VIN # on it too. I talked to a person in the Parts Dept. & then to Dan my salesman who said to fax the letter to him. We are waiting to hear from someone that the wheels are indeed ordered or that we still have to wait, which is no big deal seeing that it may snow soon & then the beast stays inside till spring but at least I can store the wheels till spring. I would rather have them ASAP so I know where they are !!

Griffin came though today 11/22/02. Got a call & Wheels are ordered. Thanks Guys !!

Picked up the chrome wheels yesterday. Look great in the boxes, hope they look as good when I get them on !!

Anyone know someone who wants to make their GT look good & wants to purchase my old stock 2003 Cobra wheels? Only about 1800 miles on them. Otherwise I'll put them on Ebay. All you would need to buy is the center plastic inserts from Ford as they weren't included with the new wheels.

Any idea on price? My buddy has a 02 GT and he may be interested?

Also, you have any idea on the price for the inserts?
