The number one request for events by those that filled out the questionaire at our Icebreaker event was...\"Car Shows\".
We have entered into a partnership with the Early 60\'s Ford Club show to be held at Sorens Ford in Brookfield, off STH 190 (Capitol Drive). When the event chairperson hammers out more details, we will get those to you. As a minimum, we plan to have a trophy for \"Best SVT Vehicle\".
As before, please reply on this topic if you have interest in showing your car (or truck) at this event.

You may want to double check that date. The flyer I have says it\'s the 28th.
I\'ll be there as well (if it doesn\'t rain!)

BlueOvalBoat - I checked the web sites for Boondockers Hot Rod Club and Early Wisconsin Mustangers. They both have July 21 on their sites!:o
You are correct - the date is July 28, not 21. As you may have noticed, Mike and I already have changed the original post to the correct date - July 28. Members - be sure to check your calendars.

So are we having our own SVT class?
Or do we put out cars in their own class?

In spite of a heat index at a plus 105 degrees we had some 20 members bring their cars. That allowed SVT (a new class at the show) to have one of if not the highest nmber of entrants for a class. Thank you to all who participated for this great showing.
Special thanks needs to go out Mike Columbo who arranged with show sponsor to establish a class for SVT and an extra special thank you from the participants who had the one and only class parked in the only shaded location at Sorens Ford.
As with my past experience with participant voting the results were something other than expected. I suspect the non SVT participants voting did not understand the class. In any event here are the results.
FIRST PLACE
Mike Columbo - 96 Mystic Cobra
SECOND PLACE
Mike Tagtow - 67 White GTA Fastback Mustang
THIRD PLACE
Chris Lorentzen - 93 Vibrant Red Cobra
Drive safe and have a good time.

I had a good time even given the heat and the fact that I didn\'t win anything. I do have to confess that I voted for Mike\'s Mystic also, I really thought it showed well in the bright sunshine and Mike did a good job of cleaning it up. I enjoyed talking to the other SVTOA members. I hope we do it again next year, although I hope it is a little cooler

I had a good time also. It was nice to finally meet Mike and Chris and co.
Maybe the Mystic Cobra got a lot of votes because of that filthy red Cobra that was next to it- Made that Mystic look great!! :D :D :D
