Congratulations to our fearless leader Chris for winning first place in the SVT category for his 93 Mustang Cobra at the Soerens Ford car show today. Boy was it hot!

Thanks Alan, I feel fortunate to have taken first place as all the cars and trucks in our class were very well prepared.

It should also be mentioned that Greg also took second place with his Mach I in his class, congratulations Greg! :bna:

I think I speak for everyone on this, THANKS TO MIKE FOR LETTING US USE THE POP-UP TENTS!!! I don't think we could have lasted as long as we did without them. Also, thanks to Marv for supplying the brake rotors which we used as tent anchors. :thumbs:

Sorry that we could not be there as we were at the IRL Race. Talk about heat, no wonder those drivers are all lean.
Luckly we had seats just under the tower so we had shape all day & a nice breeze, kind of like a fan in a oven.

Nice job to all that were at Soerens, they should have also given a trophy for staying in that heat. Wasn't it like that a few years ago?

Sorry I missed the show. Congratulations to all who received awards and thank you to all who attended and showed the Chapter Flag. As I am sure Chris explained the Gingerman On Track event precluded me from attending. Next year if I can't attend I will try to remember to provide instructions to Chris on how to hook up and use the air conditioners for the Pop-Up tents.
