By popular demand, a spring Drag Event has been added. :bna:

We will meet at Great Lakes Dragaway at 6:00 PM for a night of test and tune. Maybe even strike up a grudge race or two between members. The cool weather should help produce some good times.

Special Note: Please be aware that this is on TUESDAY night, not Wednesday night as discussed at Shop Talk.

Hope to see you there! :shft

Greg can work out an admission fee of $12.00 for WISVTOA members. :bna:

When you arrive at the gate, tell them you are with the SVT Club and you will get the special rate (they be checking to see you are driving a Ford but will not ask for ID or anything). Please keep in mind that this is a very generous discount given specifically for our club members so we ask you do not abuse it by telling non-members about it.

Thanks Greg, we appreciate your help!

Well, despite the weather, I think everyone had a pretty good time. I think I counted 12 in attendence that had our 300 series window numbers and Joel showed up (in his "bling'd" out Explorer  ) for moral support.

I think we all learned something about our cars from last night. I know the Sonic Blue Cobra guy from Illinois learned something (or at least I hope he did), that performance upgrades to 03/04's should include upgrades to the rear end. :spanka: The cool weather helped me hit a 13.4 @ 103 with just my exhaust mod. We had at least one Cobra hit the 12's I think and at least one GT in the 13's.

Again, thanks Greg for arranging the admission break. Everyone at the track was courteous and helpful although someone should have clued in the announcer, he asked more than once what was the deal with all the Mustangs out tonight. :D

On a side note, if the guy from Delavan in the red L reads this, please email me at chris@generalcapitalgroup.com if you continue to have issues posting on the board.

:hrs:

My best was a 13.8 in my '02 GT. Considering the money I just dropped into it I'm a little disappointed, but I know it will get much better once I can do better than a 2.2 60' :knock:

Thanks for the fun!

It was obvious that horse power was up, but traction was down. I busted trough the traps at 115 on most runs, but E.Ts and 60' was up 0.1 - 0.2

Fun time anyway.

After final calculation the density altitude was -699 ft. The tract elevation is 715ft so that's some darn good air for racing.

The nerd in me watches that air statistic more than any other for racing. Since I've been watching it, the lowest I've ever seen it at GLD is -1100ft so we were pretty close to perfect racing air. Only problem was lack of cars to keep the track warm so traction suffered a bit, granted a cobra broke a rear axle so it couldn't have been THAT bad :D.

I saw you on the expressway heading down there, Chris. With the cold weather, I wanted to join you guys real bad. I have no idea where my A/F's are or how much boost I have now, so I reluctantly sat this one out-I was grumpy all night too.

Easily fixed with a boost gauge and wideband :D

Im looking for a wideband I like- maybe Defi or Greddy. Also waiting for Diablo to release the Lightning revision- that will let us tune the truck at all rpms-cool. Ill just try to stay out of the boost for now-yea right! Cant wait to hit the track-probably be 80* by the time I get to.
