Ford released to Dealers on October 24th details of the program to provide a limited number of 03 Cobra buyers with Chrome Wheels.[/b]
2003 SVT MUSTANG COBRA - CHROME WHEEL AVAILABILITY
Production:
o The optional chrome wheel (64V) is scheduled to be available with February `03 production
o Approximately 25% of scheduled production will be available with the chrome wheel
o Dealers should limit the number of orders submitted with chrome wheels to 25% of their 2003 Cobra allocation
Replacement Wheel Program:
o SVT will offer customers of certain 2003 SVT Mustang Cobra vehicles the opportunity to purchase a set of original equipment chrome wheels at a reduced cost
o Approximately 100 sets of chrome wheels will be available weekly beginning November 4th, 2002. Based on limited availability, and an anticipated high level of interest among customers, order fulfillment is expected to run through the summer of 2003. Orders will be prioritized and filled based upon vehicle sale date
o While customers are urged to return to their selling dealer, the customer may handle this request through any Ford Division dealer.
o Program ends November 30, 2003
ELIGIBILITY
All customers who purchase or lease a 2003 SVT Mustang Cobra on or before February 28th, 2003, are eligible to purchase the reduced-cost chrome wheels. SVT will track Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) to ensure only one wheel set is ordered per eligible vehicle.
PRICING
Customers may choose one of the following:
Option #1
Purchase a new set of chrome wheels and keep the original factory wheels.
The customer will receive:
A new set of chrome wheels
An instant \"delay\" rebate of $75 to defray the cost of installation Their original equipment factory installed wheels returned at the time of purchase
Cost to the customer: $935.00 (Plus tax, less $75 \"delay\" rebate)
Option #2
Purchase a new set of chrome wheels and return the original factory wheels to SVT. The customer will receive:
A new set of chrome wheels
An instant $75 \"delay\" rebate to defray the cost of installation. An instant $240 \"wheel return\" rebate for return of the original equipment wheels
to the dealership Cost to customer: $695.00 (Plus tax, less $75 \"delay\" rebate)
Note: Under either scenario the customer can apply their $75 \"delay\" rebate toward the cost of installing the chrome wheels on their car. Dealers should use the customer\'s original tires, lug nuts and center
caps.
