On short notice, I was called to a meeting in Indianapolis. Since I couldn't book a direct flight for a Monday morning meeting, I elected to drive down on Sunday. After my meeting, I toured the project and found some spare time - knowing that a mid-afternoon start would only strand me in Chicago' grid-lock. So, I stopped in at Kenny Brown's Shop. A knowledgeable sales person greeted me. We talked track set-ups and other stuff. Did you know that the new Pirelli Corsa has a wear index of 60? As connected as they are with Ford, he was unaware of the Andrenelin news release. They have it now - Thanks Greg!

They now sell Cobra brake coolong ducts, complete with backing shields, for $169. For you Lightning owners, they have a new X-Factor frame reinforcement brace, for $495. They have a lot of VERY favorable testimony for this "bolt-on". I have the literature. BTW, next time I head for Indy, I will try to give a "heads-up", in case anyone wants me to pick up parts. :cbra:

See this link:

This guy claims that the Xbrace for the L won't fit with an aftermarket trans pan. Whether or not that includes the Fomoco 4x4 pan that everyone buys isn't mentioned but it's something to research before buying this thing.

It would appear that the Ford 4X4 pan would be ok as pictures from the guy who installed one on nloc has one. I think the guy complaining has either a Moroso pan or a deep finned pan (I can't remember the name of it).

But it has been somewhat disappointing. The above guy also had an aftermarket exhaust (Magnaflow) and he had to fabricate an exhaust piece to make it fit. I have to believe this will not work with the Bassani system as well but no one has tried to my knowledge. There have also been issues with 58" traction bars. I have yet to see how it will work with 54" JLP bars that I plan on installing.

I have to agree with the the poster in the link in that you would have thought Mr. Aftermarket (KB) would have known that there is no such thing as a stock L, especially one that would see track time (his target market). :spanka:
