All sighed up for next June. My son Jeff plans on it too. We reserved our rooms already. Understand rooms are going fast. Ford is suppose to have the Hyatt all booked up, I\'ll be watching to see if they relaese rooms for us as we would rather stay there as that is suppose to be the hub of it all. Bought the tics on line but haven\'t gotten anything in the mail yet from Ford. Hope we get a group from Wisc. out there?

I signed up on line also about a week ago but as of this morning they haven\'t sent me a confirmation or charged my credit card. My son lives in Ann Arbor so plan on staying with him. He and I went to the last one and have a blast.

I signed up last week. My wife and I are looking forward to it. I\'m waiting for a friends response for his interest. Then I need to get hotel rooms. During three previous Shelby American Automobile Club conventions, I stayed at the Hyatt. Does anyone know of any other good hotels in the area?

Who else is going?

We did reserve rooms at Quality Inn which is about 1 mile from Ford Headquarters Building. See my post back about 3 posts.

There is a Wyndum Gardens on Mercury Dr(just off Ford Road) that pretty nice and priced ok. Within a mile of the Hyatt.

Merv and I are going to the Dearborn Experience with friends Jim and Kathy. Remember the Rio Red 99 Cobra that you saw at various events this past summer? Yep, I sold it to them. Jim "needed" this car, to complement the Boss 429 and the Mach I.

I searched high and low for an extended-stay hotel with two rooms in Dearborn. They are either booked or they don't take reservations until January. There are many hotels near the airport (Romulus) and Livonia. We are staying at the Marriott Southfield Courtyard. Southfield is about 6 miles north of Dearborn, all freeway travel. They have a limited block of rooms under SVTOA. You can call 800-321-2211 or 248-358-1222. Mention that you are a member. The double room rate is $89. Of course, this doesn't include those crazy taxes.

:) I have a couple of rooms reserved and I will only need one. Am still waiting to see who I have tag along with me. So as the event gets closer I can let one of them go to a fellow Wi. SVTOA member. I haven't been to an event since the ice breaker:( So much to do and so little time. I have had the cobra on stands for only two weeks and with this weather I'm about ready to get it back down. Hope to see you all in June if not before.:) Anyone who would like to contact me on the extra room, feel free . HAPPY NEW YEARS from lindan@tznet.com marshfield.

Just a note to all of you southern folks , you will get a chance to see me maybe more than you will want to after April 1st. I will be supervising a project in Delefield for the next couple of years so I will get a chance to atend a few events. So Mike , I'll be in the neighborhood, Dan:p

We have a least a gaggle of cars going to Dearborn. Our plan is to meet south of town, then head out for a trip to the Auburn/Duesenburg Museum in Indiana. This will add only a few miles to the trip, yet provide a delightful break in the driving action. Stay tuned for details.
