I don't want to drive it in the winter :)

My '03 zx3 daily driver is sputtering today or something. It was fine this morning on the way to work and I started it up at lunch. It was just shaking the whole car at about 1100rpm while idling. It's got no power but does stay running. Out of the muffler you can hear a sputter or something going on. Nothing changed since this morning. I took it around the block, turned it off and restarted it but it's still doing it.

I was gonna take it in to darrow tonight after work but I thought maybe someone might have some insight as to somthing I can check in the lot here with no tools. I looked at the plug wires and they seemed to be ok but who knows.

What about water in the gas? Try some Heet or something like that?

Also, wipe off the wires with a dry cloth as maybe moisture & the salt are causing misfiring??
Good Luck

I will try that tonight, though I'd hate to fix the problem then take it in and they can't find anything.

It's not throwing a CES or anything either.

Well after work I went out and started it up and it worked fine. I took it into the dealer anyways though. They did 1.5 hours worth of diags to come back and tell me it wasn't doing it anymore, but that they think it could be the fuel pump.

Maybe try a new fuel filter first? :wtf:

True, I should probably do that.
