My 2000 Lightning is now having the processor replaced for the 3rd time in the two years that I have owned it. The check engine light comes on, I take it in and they tell me that they can't find anything wrong so they replace the processor. This time they had a "Ford field engineer" come in and look at it with the same result.
Just wondering if anybody else has experienced these problems?

If the check engine light came on a DTC will be set. The only other possibilites would be a sort to ground in the mil circuit or a PCM concern. Seeing as they haved changed the PCM a couple times, that isn't the problem. They may not have checked the freeze frame data, which can give some direction on which sub system to look at. If you would like me to look at your truck give me a call at 262 993 6605. I can do it under warranty as I do work for a Ford dealer, if it's still covered under 3/36 or on the side if your out. Thanks!!! Marv Z
