A year from now you won't be seeing this anymore, bidding over MSRP, it just wants to make me

I stopped by Soerens Ford over the weekend and they had a black Mustang GT on the floor with an extra $900 for rustproofing and then $500 Additional Dealer Markup. I had to laugh. Just reaffirmed my view of the "nice guys" at Soerens - I will never buy a car from them. It's Griffin Ford for me, if I ever decide to get rid of my 03 vert.

Basic Economics. Supply and demand.

A year from now what do you think the number will be for a new Shelby GT-500 Cobra? I would guess $4,500 will be on the low side as Ford has indicated a build rate of only 7,000.

So I guess an X plan would be out of the question:rolleyes:

From Autoweek on line

"Final prices are not set but the last SVT Cobra cost $35,000. Ford officials say the goal is to keep this car priced less than $40,000. “You won’t be able to touch this performance for the money,” Thai-Tang says. GT500s will be built at the Ford/Mazda joint-venture plant in Flat Rock alongside Mustang and Mustang GT. Ford won’t commit to a production number, but says it will build all the 500s drivers demand."
