Well it was a day made for racing. Low temps, low humidity made for great times.
Winner of lowest e.t in a Cobra went to xbunch (Dick) in his 03 Sonic Blue Cobra convertible with time of 13.927 at 106.63 mph. Not bad for a rookie! He was followed closely by Parja (Jason) in his True Blue 01 Cobra with a time of 13.974 at 101.93 mph. We unfortunately lost some Cobra competitors because of time constraints due to an extended track clean up of oil.
Winner of the Lightning low e.t went to JSlimJeff (Jeff) in his juiced 01 Silver L with a time of 12.68 at 112.31 mph :o At a distant second was my (Chris) red 01 with a time of 13.213 at 105.94 mph.
The fastest reaction time of the shootout went to animal (Dave) as he cut a .636 light in his black 01 L. He was followed closely by, and previous r.t. winner, Ranger Reality (Mark) in my red 93 Cobra with a .639.
A big thank you to Greg for his help in getting this event off the ground and his assitance all day at the track to help move things along in a timely fashion. Except for the wingnut that oiled the ENTIRE track and shut it down for well over an hour, it was a great time.
