Join us for a cruise to and through the Holy Hill area followed by a BBQ on Sunday, July 11. :shft

We will meet at the Park & Ride lot located at I-94 & Hwy G (the first exit west of the Country Inn on the northeast corner) at Noon. From here we will cruise as a group or a couple of groups, depending on attendence, to and through the scenic roads in and around the Holy Hill area. We will end our cruise at Marv's house (aka Yellow Iron) where we will have a picinic style BBQ.

This event will have a $5.00 per person event fee to help cover food and beverage costs. Additional donations of salads, chips, desserts, etc. are welcome (PM Marv if you can bring something so he can plan around your donation). We will be raffling off some great items as well.

The cruise will be a little longer than those we typically have since we have plenty of time available so be sure to be gassed up (and no, I don't mean intoxicated! ). I suspect we will be at Marv's after 1 or 1:30 PM.

Hope to see you there! :)

This should be a great day for our club to get together & meet everyone. As long is it isn't rain or snowing we'll be there.

Gas is way down in price now, so lets cruise.

We'll bring a desert, & a veggie tray.

Sounds like a chance to see everyone again since I can't make the other cruises do to a volleyball commitment. I didn't see what time to be at the park and ride, just the day:wtf:

I don't think I'm going to make it as much as I would like to?

Two Suite tickets might come through for me for the Joliet Cup race that day? I just don't know at this time yet?

If the tix don't come through I will let Marv know and hopefully be there?!?!?

If u really want to go on the cruise & BBQ I could take your Cup tickets. I'm just that nice of a guy.
Have a great time if u go. The Busch Race at the Milw. Mile was great & I bet the Cup Race is even better.

Except for the weekend of tstorms they're now predicting. Good thing they don't know a storm system from a hole in the ground. I'll be there regardless. Haven't had my truck out since last week friday :(

There is a pretty good chance I'll be able to make it? I need to know what you'd like me to bring? Looks like my Suite tix at Joliet are not going to come through?

Hi I'm Crystal (the better half of Yellow Iron). We'll have plenty of food here at our place on Sunday... feel free to bring something if you want, but it's not necessary. Just bring yourselves (and cars!).

We'll have the Chicago race on the big screen in the house for those of you NASCAR junkies not lucky enough to be getting tickets to the Cup race.

Looking forward to seeing everyone on Sunday (and hey, if it rains we have a garage and a house to crowd into).:p

This is one party that I'm really looking forward to. BTW, Kate and Jim were told of the party at Super Tuesday. (They haven't been following the board  ) Nonetheless, Jim says he and Kate will be there.

I have the tour mapped out. The roads will be mostly Rustic Roads. We will take our time, since the they are well-traveled by bicyclists and other leisure drivers. This is OK, since the roads at the foothills of Holy Hill are very scenic. If you have never been on Hogs Back Road, be sure to get in line for this tour.:D

I've been on hogs back at night on a bike, kind of makes you think; they might not find you for awhile if you went of the road. It's a very popular area in the fall; lots of people driving around taking in the sights. Should be a good time.

ok, so if i am crawling up Hwy 83 from the south....
will I turn East or West on I-94?

I am assuming East

You know, if you check out internet map sites...they will get you lost in a paper bag.

xbnch
07-09-2004, 06:43 PM
U go east from 83. Not too far and you are there.

thhodges
07-10-2004, 06:32 AM
Hyw G is in between the citys Waukesha & Pewaukee.
Its two exits east of 83 and three exits west of Hy 164.
The park and ride is on the North, East side of 94.

You also can use the northy access road from Hwy 83 by Koles, if your comming from the west or Hwy T (grandview), BY the GE plant, if your comming from the East.

Marv

Would you like me to bring the 10' Easy up Canopy??
Let me know.

Yellow Iron

We shoudn't need it. Mike dropped a couple of the canopys we used for the SVT events. That should be enough. Thanks!!! Marv Z

I just filled up today with REAL GAS. The station is only 10 miles away, I'll drive that far for it, cheaper to. :)

Thanks to everyone who was able to come to the cruise / party yesterday. Special thanks to everyone who brought along food - thanks to all of you, we really had a nice spread!! Along those lines, whoever brought that 13 x 9 pan of delicious brownies left the pan behind. Let me know whose it is (sorry I don't remember) and I'll make sure to send it along with Marv to the next event to give back to you.

Thanks again!!

The 13 X 9 pan is mine Crystal, I remembered when I got home.
If you're at Wayne's next week, I will be there. If not, don't worry about it, it's kind of a high miles pan (lots of use). I think my wife was planning on replacing it soon.
Thanks,
Mark

Hope to see ya at Wanye's:beer:
