Greg,

I was thinking a members rides gallery might be nice like the one you set up at CPONYGO. Don\'t know how much work goes into setting something like that up but it\'s nice to have the central photo bank instead of having them in a thread that eventually gets buried.

What do you think?

Chris

This is a good idea. However, I would need instructions on how to post the photos :o

I didn\'t think lurkers were allowed in the Gallery!

Well, I did try to post one of my digital pictures but I took it in the super fine setting so its really to large a file. I haven\'t gotten around to snapping a more suitable one yet.

Maybe try to set up a time to have a digital camara at one of the wednesday meetings and get some pics of the cars then post them on the site.

Well, to update this thread....

I already paid $185 for this vB forums software out of my pocket. Photopost is another $100 or so, but I can't absorb that cost.
If the chapter wants to pony up for the software, I will be glad to install it.

I would be willing to put some bucks in for the group software. I will not be at the Daytona event but will be at the shop talk next week. if some one wanted to take up a collection. Greg should not have to fork out his money for our web site.:(

I would put money in for it. I think it would enhance the site a little bit. I will be at the next shop talk meeting.

Well, it would be easy to link to your photos on the national site.

There are other options as well as Photopost, but that's a very cool program.

When we get back from Florida will try to post my pictures. May need some help though as I had problems before & u said my pics were too big. Think I found out how to fix that by lowering my camera setting. Hope that is it?

Should be fine, we are allowing larger uploads here because of the smaller number of members. For what it's worth, if you make files too big, you not only use up all your spcae too fast, you make it an unpleasant experience for a dialup user to view your pictures due to long load time. You really should be focusing on properly sizing your imagefiles so that you get the highest possible number of uploads and also get fast loading time.

I try to keep imagefiles below 100k- make that well below 100k.
