i have a question. i was installing a cold air set up on my lightning, when i took of the rubber boot between the mass air meter and the throttle body i noticed oil in it. after i took it off there is oil coming out of the throttle body also. is this normal for these trucks? if not i am going to leave it stock and take it in. any help would be much appreciated.

Sorry but it's one of the ugly traits of the L. Ford says it's normal and will not do anything about it. Marv insists that it does not affect performance and not to worry about it but it is annoying.
However, you can install an oil speparator which will collect the oil that you see into a little canister instead. I know Joel has one, maybe he can chime in on how he likes his.

Inhaler, I would suggest that every Lightning owner put a separator on theirs. The amount of oil that was in the stock blower, after only 6,500mi was shocking. Their was no way that I was going to put a new blower on without getting a seperator. I ordered mine from Razor's Edge Motorsports. They are great to deal with. I have noticed that the harder I run the truck the more oil there is. I have to empty the separator approx. every 1,500mi., so I know it is working, because I can see it working. It is money well spent!

My CSVT does it too. I made a hommade oil sperator with a drain valve out of pvc. From what I've heard this is a cheap easy fix to ugly intakes:D
