About time I replaced the stock Shifter. Just wondering what people out there were using and pro's and cons of each.

Thanks

I installed a Steeda Tri-Ax on my 96 last year and so far am very happy with it. The throws are much shorter and it is built to last. Also the up side to Steeda is SVTOA members get a 10% discount. I hope that this helps a little.

A friend of mine is using the pro 5-0 in his 02 GT. I liked the feel of it, but I can't say anything for the steeda I never tried one. I'm sure either is a good choice. Only thing is that the pro-50 must have a little pinch while shifiting, there's now a very small hole in his shifter boot.

Thanks for the feedback. The other one I was looking at was the B&M. Not seen or heard anything about that.

My 99 Cobra had a B&M and my 01 has a Steeda Tri-ax.

Both are substanially better than the stock shifter. Both provided the same advantages. Both allowed the use of the stock shifter knob. Both were easy to install. For feel, I would rate the Steeda a 9 and the B&M a 8, on a ten scale. BTW, both were purchased on eBay. You can't lose with either.:)

I had a Steeda Triax in my 01 Cobra and liked it, but it transmitted a lot of noise. In my 03 I installed a Pro50 with a MGW handle. Its a awesome shifter with the MGW handle the shifter meets perfectly with my hand,no reaching to shift. Also no noise, I do love this shifter, in my opinion its better than the Triax. But this is not to flame the steeda which I did like.
