They don't get the new cylinder heads till Darlington at the earliest, probably later. Matt's crew has really just stepped up their program in conjunction with Robert Yates ..

MATT FINISHED 6TH SUNDAY IN AtLANTA AFTER BEING DOWN ONE LAP DUE TO A PITTING ERROR.
IF THEY DON"T HAVE THE NEW HEADS YET JUST HOW GOOD WILL HE BE??
I WAS LEAD TO BELIEVE THEY WERE USING THEM ALREADY.
PS- THIS IS MY 200TH POST, WOW .

The new cylinder heads should pick them up about another 20 horsepower (whether that is RWHP or FWHP I'm not sure .. still a significant gain either way). Matt was rumored to have dynoed 40 hp up above everybody else at Rockingham and Las Vegas, however. I'm not sure what they did to the motors this year, but they are sure a lot better. I think it's the Yates input - Robert Yates motors are legendary for making a lot of power.
