No, we aren't talking about your personal finances.

Mike has made arrangements for a representative from Pirelli Tires to come and talk to us about tires. When you think about it, tires are the only component of your vehicle that is in contact with the asphalt and is a critical element of how your vehicle performs on both the street and the track. So come and join us for some tire talk.

We will have pizza and soda provided from Griffin (thanks Vilas  ).

We will also be discussing the drag racing invitation (or throwing down of the glove depending on how you look at it :wow: ) from our SVTOA friends in Minnesota. :shft (See this post for our invitation http://www.wisvtoa.com/wisvtoavb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=453). Thanks for thinking of us Dan.

Hope to see you there!

Tires are not something we think about to much other than to check the pressure yet they are an important component of your suspension. How they are constructed and of what will be discussed along with differences between regular and performance tires. Pirelli Tires were selected by Ford to be the standard for the 05 Mustang GT.

Sounds like a good topic. Being our last week in Florida will miss this event. It has been in the low 80's the last 2 weeks. Golfing twice a week. Hope that next week Wisc. will be near that temp. so I can golf!

Hope there is discussion on the tire noise put out by some brands. Is it improper air pressure?

For those of you who missed this Shop Talk you missed a great oportunity to learn the basics of tire construction and application. Roger Brace, the Regional Sales Manager fior Pirelli Tire North America joined us and spoke for some 20 minutes on tire construction and history followed by a Q & A session. A special thanks to Roger for his time and efforts on our behalf. When it comes time for new Cobra tires Pirelli performance tires will be at the top of my list for consideration.
