Now, she's not the most beautiful piece of machinery ever produced, but she does the job well :o.

In all seriousness, this thing is a tank. It's been sitting in a barn for 6 years and fired right up (new battery, of course). Hasn't been started in that entire time. It was basically put there and forgotten about. It even runs fine on the old gas!!

Not to mention, the guy who I bought it from put this car through hell. He was cruising down the freeway when one of the front tires blew out. He ended up nailing the dividing wall with the front driver side (going over a curb in the process), then spun around and hit the wall again with the back passenger side. All the car needs is an alignment, and she'll be good to go . Now who says Fords are worthless POS'?

EDIT: I put those headlights on, since the old ones were destroyed in the impact with the wall. And yes, they are smoked (I needed something to practice on before I attempted anything on the GTP ;))

Ouch, that's going to leave a mark. :hbomb:

Boy, and I thought Terry's (DOHC 281) Taurus wagon looked rough before it finally died at 28x,xxx miles. That wing you are taking off the Contour would dress it up a little bit though.

Great minds think alike :D. Since the wing is just laying around in the garage, I seriously thought about putting it on there and make the car up like a POS ricer. Then again, I can probably get a couple bucks for the wing from some dumb kid, so who knows. At least if I can sell the wing the money can go towards the new trunk lid I need :knock:

Andy:

Maybe you should volunteer this car for Chris's detailing workshop?

Whadda ya think Chris? Can it be saved? ;)

So, I guess what you're saying is a sander is more appropriate than a buffer?;) :p

Well, if you're talking about Job 1, yes. You would eventually get to the buffing stage, there is just a little more "surface prep" required in this case. :D

No faith in the paint job :D? We'll see...I'll do a little work on the hood when I get some time next week; that nice Toreador Red will come to an illustrious shine :rkon:

After that buffing stage, and the wax, re-wax, ... , re-re-re-re-re-re-re-wax stage, we get to the spill-a-full-beer-on-your-car stage. Right Chris? :p
