I buzzed over to the Milwaukee Mile this morning with a bag full of non-perishible food items and along with a $15.00 donation to Second Harvest Food Pantry we were able to crank out a few laps around the Mile. Just so I wouldn't be disappointed too badly I took the '66 Mustang there to do it. At one point we got up to a blazing 60 mph and although it was pretty slow, it was a fun thing to do. They gave us 5 laps instead of the scheduled 3 because some of the people had been waiting quite some time for whatever reason. We had to follow a pace truck and a safety vehicle followed behind. There were about seven cars in the parade.
Plus as a bonus, we did a little good for the community.
