Sorry that this wasn't posted sooner - other than on our calendar. :(

It is this Sunday, July 27. Registration begins at 8 am and the show begins at 9.

We are guests to the Wisconsin Ford Club, thanks to fellow member Mike Columbo. I'm not sure at this, but I think we will have our own class, with trophies based on participant and guest votes.

Mike T and Terry H are going. Anyone else? :)

I'm going to try and make it there if the weather looks to be good. I know it says to be there between 8 and 9 but how long are we supossed to stay there?

I'll be there as well, probably a little after 8. Weather looks good.

You can stay as long as you like. Judging ends ends at 1PM and the trophies are usually handed out about 3 but you can leave anytime.

When registering, be sure to enter yourself in the SVTOA class (I don't know what they have designated as our class letters but we are at the bottom of their class listing).

I believe it's class "AA"

I'm having trouble deciding here. I know it's a svt class and all, but it's also a classic car show at the same time. Since I've recently made the 66 stang able to be driven distances, I'm trying to decide whether to bring that or the L. Now I know what Chris goes through every event :D

Any suggestions?

We'll see what the weather looks like in the morning. I finally got the garage cleaned out for the place I am in now so I get to park in the garage overnight :bna:

Perhaps I'll have a clean car for a car show....

what a novelty :D

Well, after a hot and humid morning with a brief rain shower, the remainder of the day turned out to be sunny with a cool breeze. :bna:

About 12 to 15 WISVTOA members showed their vehicles and there were at least as many non-member vehicles in the SVT class. I don't think there was a clunker in the class, all were very nice.

A non-member took third place with an Sonic Blue 03 Cobra convertible. I was fortunate enough to take second place with my 93 Cobra and Mike Columbo placed first with his Mystic 96 Cobra.

347Cobra (Greg) wins the Nothin's-Going-to-Stop-Me-From-Coming Award as he limped Nice Asp in all the way from Port Washington after breaking a motor mount from drag racing the night before.

I know there were some cameras there, anyone to post some?

I learned that taking your L to the car wash is a really good way to clean it. It's really fast, does a good job for the amount of time and money you spent on it. Chris was really impressed when I told him that's what I did to clean my L.

Don't worry Chris, next time I'll use more quarters:D

What impressed me was my level of restraint from kidnapping your truck to rescue it from future torture! :D

BTW, we all know money can't buy LOVE. ;)

Thanks for the pics Greg. :D

BTW, I have to correct my initial post regarding third place. That trophy went to Mike S. (sonicboom) who is an SVTOA member and relatively recent new member on this board. :bna:

I hope we can see more of Mike and his Cobra at future events.

Chris
