We are expecting a good turn-out. Of course, the order for excellent weather was already put in.:D
There will be no shortage of raffle prizes. Special prizes are being reserved for Chapter members that "show" their vehicle in the reserved parking area.
I need several of our Chapter members to volunteer (and to assure another successful event). We need help in these two areas:
* Directing Chapter members (no guests) into the special parking area reserved for "Ford Family Vehicles". This job will include handing out the all-important "special" prize raffle ticket. It is a great way to meet our members and their vehicles.
* Registration. This duty will include handing out applications, event schedules and upcoming event flyers. You will also answer questions and collect raffle tickets. And have fun.
If we get enough volunteers, I will only need approximately 1.5 hours of your time (not like last year, right Mike C.?). We plan on three shifts, with these approximate times:
* The first shift is between 10:30 AM and noon
* The second shift is between noon and 1:30 PM
* The third shift is between 1:30 PM and 3:00 PM
Fourth shift --> :beer: ;)
Thanks to Kathy Gault (our newest member) and my wife Marilyn for their show of hands. Their smiley faces will be put to good use at the registration table. We need about 7 more volunteers!
BTW, additional raffle tickets will be awarded for workers. :)

I started my new job on May 1st in central Indiana and have sold my house here so I will be down in Indiana trying to buy a house this weekend. I regret missing this. On the up side the Indy region of SVTOA meets at Kenny Brown's on May 19th.

I will be happy to help out as needed. Early shift would be good if its open, I can be there by 10.
It is important to me to be available to hear what the Ford Master Mechanic has to say and perhaps talk to him.
Weather looks good at this point, hope it holds!
Should be a great time!
See ya there.

I should be down early to help out when ever. Would like to hear Jeramy speak though. Hope for as good aturn out as last year. To bad I didn'rt think ahead more, I just received a set of Steeda pullys and timing advance that we could install as a demo. I doubt if I will get on by weekend.

For those of you looking for Gyros West it will be on your right not your left after you pass Griffin Ford. Griffin Ford will will be to your left.
Might be a dumb question - but what exactly is the time frame on this Ice Breaker event?
Nevermind, I read the flier on the main page ;)
I don't own an SVT, and I haven't been to any of these events before so I don't really know much about it (regrettably!). I'd really like to come tomorrow if it's possible however (I have a lot to do around the house, gotta get stuff ready for my sister's graduation party - she just finished her semester at Marquette last week). And just to make sure - you don't need an SVT to come to the event right? Next year when the 64 Galaxie is ready I'll bring that if you guys would wanna see it ;) .. fixin her up this summer :bna:

No, you don't have to have an SVT vehicle to come !! (or even to be a member). Anyone with a passion for Ford vehicles is welcome, so come on down, + bring a friend. And as far as the rides go, I guess there's no definitive ideas on who will be there with what, but if all else fails, I'd be glad to give you a ride in my '98 Cobra- not as fast as an '03, but it'll stick ya in the seat pretty darned hard, + it's a good example of how much used car you can get for the price of a new V-6 Mustang.

I have your names (at least your handles) on my sheet. I am still short of help - let me know Saturday morning if you have other "friends" that can help out.
See you there! :)

That would be sweet. That's the style that got me hooked on SVTs anyhow ;)
[edit]
Think I saw your car perhaps ..

Is that it? I wasn't sure if that was your car because it had Illinois liscense plates and I knew that you were from Lake Geneva. The wheels look right to me though ... and by the looks of your photo gallery perhaps you have Illinois plates (can't really tell on the front pic cuz there's a lot of sunglare). I would have tried to talk to you but we were pretty rushed for time this afternoon (we're preparing for my sister's graduation party as I may have said before, plus I got my haircut this afternoon).
Anyways - it was awesome seeing all those great cars there! I was surprised to see the 64 Galaxie there. Who's is that? I saw him pull in and that thing is bad ass. Is that an R-Code? I would guess so from the radio and heater delete and the 427 but I couldn't say for sure. We'll have to get our Galaxie fixed up so I can bring it next year :)
PS: For those of you who haven't noticed yet, I posted about 75 pics from the event in Past Events area.

Yep, that was mine, I just moved up here from IL, got it registered up here yesterday, just haven't changed the plates yet.
