An Advanced Performance Driving School is planned at GingerMan Raceway in South Haven Michigan on Wednesday, June 12, and Thursday, June 13, prior to the 100 Year Anniversary Celebration in Dearborn. The cost is $125 for each full day, between 8 am and 5 pm. Mailers should arrive soon. Unfortunately, it is for drivers that have at least 4 events behind them - I assume high speed track experience. A few of our club members would be eligible. Please post on this board if you are interested in running one (or even both!) days. Let me know which days, and if you are going to Dearborn following the On-Track event.
:)
For those that are not attending the full day sessions, please post if you are interested in the following option that was made available to us...
We could tour to Dearborn and stop at GingerMan along the way. For a small fee, we can "ride" with instructors on the track for a lap, or a series of laps. This would show support for our Great Lakes Region, which consists of ten SVTOA Chapters, including ours. It should only take a couple of hours from our travel itinerary. I need to know the level of interest so that I can get back to our Regional Director and make arrangements.
To make my opinion known.... I vote for the 300 mile tour and "ride along" program at GingerMan. Of course, this would substitute a previously noted idea for a tour stop at the big museum in Auburn Indiana.
It's your call... let me know your preference and ideas for a fun tour to Dearborn. :D
BTW, I have posted a poll on the next post (please read).
