Looking for a Mach I? Griffin has one remaining allocation for a Mach I build that is not spoken for. If interested give me a call.

Cool. What color?

I don't recall if it was Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords, or in 5.0 Mustang, but some one on BON was saying that the tests showed the Mach I was quicker than the 01 Cobra - stock and with minor mods. It was surmised that this was due to several factors:
* live rear axle (quicker launches and less overall weight)
* 3:55 gears (ditto)
* more torque (due to camming)

I have several questions about the car, but the most important one-
Is this car considered an SVT? I posted a news article per Ford on the birthday of SVT, and it mentioned the Mach 1 as an SVT offering??
I have had more then a passing interest in a Mach 1, but I thought they aren't an SVT vehcile. Can anyone clear this up?

The Mach I like the Bullet last year is a limited production Mustang. It is not a SVT vehicle.

Griffin like other dealers is allocated a small number of these vehicles. What Tags is saying in his post is that Griffin has one remaing Mach I allocated that is not yet built or sold. If you were to want this Mach I you can pick the color. If no one has spoken for the car prior to the factory build date Griffin will select the color (Which could make for uniqe Mach I because whoever orders cars for Griffin has an affinity for black. Think about it.).

If you want a Mach I you need to find one in a dealer inventory (lots of luck) or a dealer who has remaining allocation (lots of luck). The only Mach I that I know of that is dealer inventory is the one for the forthcoming auto show. At the end of the show the Milwaukee area dealers will participated in a lottery to determine whcih of them will get it.

Are they going to mark this car up?

Good question. Griffin has marked up T-Birds but has not marked up SVT vehicles. As I recall dealers marked up the Bullet but I don't know if Griffin did. As demand for the Mach I is very high and having the car in stock draws lookers if it is not sold prior to being to delivered to the dealership I would guess they would. Give Pete a call he will know. 262-542-5781
