With your car now in storage, are you feeling symptoms of OAD, otherwise known as Overactive Adrenaline Disorder? The SVTOA Wisconsin Chapter has a cure. Join us in an unforgettable racing experience at Chicago Indoor Racing, Saturday January 23rd, 2010. This is an ADULT racing event which will leave you exhilarated.
At the track you will participate in a Grand Prix Racing format where each driver will run in three Qualifying Races. Top Drivers will move on to compete in a final Championship Race and all others will participate in a Consolation Race. All of the required equipment including racing suit, helmet, and neck brace will be furnished by the track. You will drive a Racing Kart which achieves speeds of 30-35 mph, and with it being just an inch off the ground, it will seem like more than 70 mph.
Transportation to the event is the responsibility of the participants who must arrive no later than 12:30 pm. Our schedule calls for Registration to begin at that time and conclude at 1:00 pm, followed by a Group Briefing by the Track Manager and then suiting up. Racing will begin at 2:00 pm and conclude at approximately 3:30 pm. To participate, you must attend the Group Briefing, so timely arrival is essential.
In previous adventures at Chicago Indoor, our group has run on just one of the two tracks at the facility at Buffalo Grove. It appears that if we have at least 32 participants, this event will run with both tracks combined. To assure combined track availability, please reply as soon as possible, but no later than December 21. Cost will be $80.00 per participant payable on the day of the event.
Don’t miss the fun! Please reply (not later than December 21st) by sending an e-mail including your name and phone number to mtagtow@wi.rr.com. Also, if you wish to bring a friend who wants to participate or just watch you may do so. Just be sure inform us in your e-mail about additional drivers so we may plan accordingly. Participants must be over 18, have a valid driver's license and must be wearing closed toed shoes. Although those over 250lbs may have some difficulty depending upon weight distribution, almost everyone can be accommodated.
Driving Instructions if you are coming from either the North or South on I-94:
1 - Turn west on Lake Cook Road.
2 - Cross Northgate Parkway
3 - Turn right on Hastings Drive (just after crossing over the railroad tracks).
4 - Chicago Indoor Racing is the third building on your right.
