When stomping down on acceleration there is a 1-2 second hesitation at 3100 RPM's. Can't figuer out what is wrong. Dealers can't find this.
The truck didn't do this when it was new . No modifications were done at this time either.

Ron, its been awhile since I researched that as I noticed it too on my truck. If I remember right, it is the point where the torque converter locks up and it is considered normal.

Sounds about right. Mine does that, but usually not from a standing start. Only from roll when I was normally cruising... and I believe Chris is right. It's the torque converter locking up. Unless it is like a misfire type of hesitation. Mine you really only notice cause the pitch of the blower goes up, then down a bit, then back up.
also after thinking about it, it's been a while since i even paid any attention to it, but I think mine only does it in 2nd gear.

Can you perhaps describe it in better detail? Do the rpm's drop? any noises associated with it? Is it an immediate loss of power or a slight and more gradual loss. Does it happen in all gears?
Any chance you could take audio or video of it and post it up?
Other than that, you could always go up by marv and ask nicely if he can take a ride with you so you can illustrate the problem to him.
