The EAA "Planes, Manes and Automobiles" car show in Oshkosh on June 30 was a great success. Among the 200 plus vehicles in the show, WISVTOA was well represented. In attendance were: Jim H., Ron, John, Alan, Doug, Greg, Dave H., Kevin, and Bonnie. Our group received a total of five class awards, several sponsored by Marv of C&M Automotive. The weather was perfect! The food was great! There was a WW II P-51 for photos with your car as well as P-51 flybys at about 100ft. There were helicopter and airplane rides and the EAA Museum tour was included in the price of admission. And of course, there were lots of very nice mustangs and other Ford vehicles. I don't know when I had a better time at a car show! The MC was the editor of "Mustang Enthusiast" magazine and I believe that there will be an article in a future issue. Some of our cars may be included among the photos.

Glad you had a great time. The weather was great and the vehicles were even better.

If I'm not mistaken, you had that beautiful DSG Lightning?? Nice truck if so.

Some issues with classes and such have been brought up and will be addressed for next years show. This not just a car show, it is quite an experience. See you next year.

I saw NICE ASP and Alan's L (I know he's not a small guy and kind of looks like a member of Metallica from what I remember) couldn't locate him to chat.

Did speak to the owner of the Saleen S7. He actually drove it from Milwaukee:wow: I told him to stay off the streets in Oshkosh cause they SUCK:D

That Blue Mach 1 was awesome IMO. Deep dish wheels, painted parts under hood, side skirts, etc........

Missie and I had a blast, that's a really nice show and this is the first time I could really enjoy myself as a participant. Good to see the SVTOA crew, and we look forward to seeing you guys at the Port Fish Day show!!

First, I'm sorry that I missed mentioning anyone. I just reported who I saw and talked to. Second, I would like to think that I look like Arnold, but I'm really the old short guy with the white mustache. I used to look like Howdy Doody in grade school. Metallica? Maybe in the 60s, but probably more like Dennis Hopper. As memory serves, the class excellence trophy winners were: Jim H., Ron, John, Dave H. and myself.

Great show and a great day. It takes lots of great volunteers to make a show like this happen as we all know.
